ICON advised Trafficmaster Plc, the worldwide leader in digital traffic information on the disposal of its UK Fleetstar business to CybIT Holdings Plc. The disposal allows Trafficmaster to concentrate on their core business, the collection and distribution of real time traffic information.

The consideration which includes a shareholding in CybIT provides a new channel to market for Trafficmaster’s products and for CybIT, it represents a significant opportunity for them to further strengthen their competitive positioning in the UK and Europe.

Fleetstar’s product is widely recognized in the UK and has been awarded the prestigious “Award of Excellence 2001” by The Institute of Transport Management.
